Is It Possible To Recut An Oval Shape Diamond? It Is About 1 Carat But Is Poorly Cut.?

I just want the diamond to be more brilliant but also want to keep the oval shape.

It is possible to re cut an oval diamond but I am not sure that will improve its brilliance. if it is not brilliant enough it could be due to a number of reasons. inclusions or imperfections in a diamond can affect its ability to let light pass through it and make it less brilliant. so if your diamond has inclusions nearer to the edges, then making it smaller may help. but if the inclusions are in the middle of the diamond then you can’t help it.
    also cut, greatly affects brilliance. a diamond that is cut with too much depth doesn’t reflect light well cos of the great distance that the light has to travel. however if it is cut very shallow then it will no be brilliant. it has to be just right.
    some jewelers do treatments to diamonds to enhance clarity and brilliance. I don’t know how good this is so I don’t recommend it. However, there s very good advice on diamonds on this website:
