Chris Lilly – Tsantsa – Original FIngerstyle Acoustic Guitar Solo

A newer instrumental that I just laid down. Not my best performance, but good enough to share the idea with others. I had trouble with the video and audio thing. A guy who is good at this told me to record the audio to a studio thingy majigader and then overlay it on the video so that the audio quality sounds better. I took a stab at that, but I am not sure if it is perfectly aligned. Also, the capture utility made the video go funky for a few seconds in one spot, but it caught up so I left it. That is a Rode NT4 that you see in the video. That guitar is a Plummer 9 Diamond (the inlays are fake diamonds). It has Macassar ebony back and sides. I have only had it for a few months, but man those have been good months . . .

  1. I look on line a lot and there is never any for sale…most likely because they are custom made. You’ve go to love the neck to body design, the heel shaped with the curve of the body. Mine is a Koa back and side, dreadnaught with a cedar top, 5 piece tiger maple neck, brazilian rosewood pickguard. Dave told me before he died to take it to Joe Glaser in Nashville if I ever needed work done. I gigged with it a lot and took it down to Joe for refretting and neck set. He is incredible.

  2. I absolutely love this guitar. I had to have some bridge work done to fix intonation issues, but now that that is done, this is an awesome guitar. I want another one. If you did help build this. Thanks! You did a great job! I am going to bring it in today to get the action lowered a bit. The thin neck tears up my fretting thumb for some reason. I never met Plummer, but the guy I bought this guitar from said he was a great guy. He had several Plummers.

  3. Nice guitar, I own a Plummer also. I might have helped build yours, as I worked with Dave a couple of great years. I miss him terribly.

  4. Thank you. What is amazing is having the guts to jump out of a plain . . .

  5. Thank you. I checked out your stuff too and really enjoyed it. Cheers.
